- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash bananas until smooth.
- Mix in melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla until creamy.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon together.
- Fold dry mixture into wet ingredients until just combined; do not overmix.
- In a small bowl, mix together cinnamon and sugar for the swirl.
- Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle with half the cinnamon-sugar mixture, layer remaining batter and top with remaining cinnamon-sugar.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
