Ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse cranberries under cold water, removing any mushy ones.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, water, and orange zest. Add the cinnamon stick if desired.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat; watch for the cranberries to pop.
