Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup plain or Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 1/2 cup grape or cranberry jelly
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix gently until combined.
  2. Roll mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  3. (Optional) Sear meatballs in a hot skillet until browned on all sides.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce and jelly until smooth.
  5. Place meatballs in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them.
  6. Cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  7. Serve hot with toothpicks.
