  • 1 cup full-fat sour cream
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the chopped onions and minced garlic until translucent.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then brown them in the skillet for about 3 minutes on each side.
  4. In the same skillet, combine sour cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Stir until creamy over low heat.
  5. Place browned chicken in an oven-safe dish and pour the sauce over it, ensuring all pieces are coated.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30-35 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Remove foil for the last 10 minutes to allow browning.
