  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup pure honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rinse chicken thighs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, and sesame oil until smooth.
  3. Marinate the chicken in half of the sauce for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  4. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and sear the marinated chicken thighs skin-side down for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Flip the thighs, pour in the remaining marinade, and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (73°C).
  6. Let rest for a few minutes before garnishing with chopped green onions. Serve warm with rice or vegetables.
